About Dr. Bernstein

Dr. Naomi is a clinical psychologist specializing in mindfulness based group therapy for depression, anxiety and interpersonal issues. Dr. Naomi has developed a unique method for treating patients using a specialized type of group therapy which incorporates experiential mindfulness and interpersonal communication practices, a series of identity exploration and motivational group challenges as well as facilitating a supportive community to process past and current life experiences; all wrapped up into a one hour weekly life changing experience.

Patients get the benefit of a therapeutic relationship with an experienced psychologist who will ask questions to help patients explore patterns and develop insight into the underlying causes for their emotional distress and feelings of “being stuck.” The group dynamic provides a sense of community and sharing of feelings and experiences. This can help repair old attachment wounds by providing an environment for safe expression of vulnerability and (oftentimes for the first time) provide patients with a feeling of true emotional intimacy.

Dr. Naomi maintains a virtual private practice in Dallas, TX and is certified to treat patients in 40 states. She has extensive experience helping individuals cope with difficult breakups, family dynamics and unhealthy relationship patterns. She is also specially trained in couple therapy and group therapy.

Dr. Naomi has over 16 years of experience as a psychologist. She and as a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and Brandeis University where she was trained in cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy. She is currently specializing in mindfulness based treatments to rewire the brain and is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.

She is a warm, compassionate and genuine therapist committed to helping patients find happiness and serenity. Her therapeutic approach is to provide comforting support and honest feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. With sincere empathy and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Mindfulness involves staying present in each moment and learning to keep focused on the simple pleasures of life rather than spending time ruminating about the past or worrying about the future.
